Day 1

Departure: P2 or P3, parking at Saint-Tite-des-Caps
Sleep: La Faille in shelter or camping
Distance traveled: 2.8 km
Time: 1 to 1.5 hours

Note: If you haven't had enough at La Faille shelter, leave your backpack there and set off, light as a feather, to Anse-de-la-Montée-du-Lac trail, which descends to the Saint Lawrence River for a total of 4 km roundtrip, difficult-level.

Day 2

Depart from La Faille
Arrival A: Cap Tourmente National Wildlife Area (Saint-Joachim)
Distance traveled: 7.4 km
Time: 3 to 4 hours (make sure to arrive at the Wildlife Reserve before the closing time at 5:00 PM)

Arrival B: You can return on your steps through parking P2 or P3 via Anse-de-la-Montée-du-Lac (observation tower)
Distance traveled: 3.2 km
Time: 1.5 to 2.5 hours

You can complete this route starting from either location!

*Important note*

A fee of $5.00 per person aged 13 years and older is required to access the Cap Tourmente National Wildlife Area.

Your car cannot remain at the Wildlife Reserve after 5:00 PM. If you plan to transport your vehicle out yourself, it is important to take this information into account. We can offer a vehicle relocation service except for departures or arrivals at Cap Tourmente on Sundays.

The opening period for departure via Cime trail to Cap Tourmente will begin on June 6, 2025, and will end on November 2, 2025. After this date, all departures will be from Saint-Tite-des-Caps.

No departures at the Wildlife Reserve will be done after 3:30 PM.
